I was checking 3 to 5 times a day when we were waiting. NOA2 came as a text message to my phone when I was out of town at my daughter's wedding. Well, it only said something about a status update. I almost had a heart attack trying to log in because I didn't have my password with me. Next option was to log into my email and read the message there...Approved! We had waited 9 months for the news. My daughter, her hubby and I had a round of champagne to celebrate.

Does that count the approximately five hundred times each Sunday I check the site to derive data for my Excel spreadsheet? ;)

no, not at all. You are on a Special Mission, Sanctioned by Uncle Darnell - so this 'counting' not apply to you.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Well, originally I told my husband I was going to only try to check once or twice a week. That immediately went out the window. I probably check 3 times a day on average. But dont even ask me how often I check the timeline updates here on visajourney - that number is much much much higher! (I get happy to see approvals from the NBC .... just thinking that each approval means i am a bit closer to getting in from of an adjudicator and having my 130 decided).

See I only check the VJ timeline like once a week, because it has been so variable with the NBC changes that I don't think it is a good indicator at all. :crying:

hi everyone!

since you guys check it several times a day, does it mean when that you check it in the evening, then you check it early morning again there's a chance that the status will change?

i mean, even after office hours of the service centers the status can change? even on sunday? i actually have no idea.

:)

Yes - I believe their system updates in the middle of the night too sometimes! I checked on a Wednesday night at around 8:00PM. When I checked again at 2:00AM Thursday our status changed! Go figure...

Anything is possible!!

OK so i cant bear the disappointment so i only check it like 5 times a week, Also check the embassy just to see who was last approved.... for what its worth as the Algerian embassy is closed on Friday. The temptation to check is always there but I keep hoping the surprise will be so much sweeter if I give myself a break.

May God bless and keep you always~ May your wishes all come true~ May you always do for others~ And let others do for you~

May you build a ladder to the stars~ And climb on every rung~May you stay forever young

How cool is this!!

More Kentucky/Canada connections. My wife and I met and were married in 2003. Lived in Lawrenceburg and Berea. Kentucky is superb - I cannot wait to get back. Finding work - kinda scary.
