I've heard the term "touches" in relation to activity with files. July filer here, and our file hasn't been touched since the day after our NOA1. Is that unusual? Is there a flurry of activity right before adjudication? I've been very patient until we hit the six month mark and now I'm just a bundle of nerves (very out of character). It feels like our petition has fallen into a black hole somewhere. I'm interested to hear other couples' experiences. Was there activity with your files leading up to NOA2 or were you simply notified. Thanks for sharing your stories.

A lot of people won't get any touches until they find out they are approved. That's what happened with us.

We waited just under 7 months before we were approved.

No touches is definitely not unusual. My case only had one "touch", the day after our NOA1 date. That was it. Nothing happened for nearly 5 months when I got my NOA2.

Congratulations!!! How funny a day after asking the VJ members about the wait and some words of encouragement, BOOM, NOA2 at your doorstep/mailbox. Must be the positive vibes!

We just sent the I-129F application on January 24th...more like a binder/book of evidence (organized of course). I haven't received a text or anything yet, but I've been tracking it and it has been delivered. I don't know if I'm patient enough to wait as long as you did  . I just can't wait for this process to be over with, all I want is just the NOA2!!! Then I can breathe easy...until the next phase of course. I know I'd be totally lost without this website, forum, members, and of course my true (L) . Can't wait for him to get here

You are still getting forwarded to the NVC now that you have received your NOA2.

Review the guide here.

That forum wouldn't apply to you as it's for IR-1/CR-1 applicants. But follow the link to the guide that CHarvey mentioned.
