hello,

i had my interview on jan 17,2013.the interview went well,i passed,but the IO said the decision cannot be made now,bec of my travel outside of US for more then 6 mnths,and i will recieve a letter in 7 days.

After returning,i checked online and that status says,Request For Evidence letter has been sent to you on Jan 17,2013.So kindly send in the documents,etc

But as of today JAn 28 i havent recieved any letter.i dont understand what is this about,and what should i do?i tried calling NSBC and they said to call me after 15 days,what is this all about

It's only been 11 days .. and two of those were holidays. You'll probably receive the RFE by the end of this week. Then just send them whatever it is they ask for. No worries.

Jul 5 - Receipt date for I-130 petition for my over 21 brother and his wife (both in the UK)

2024

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

I-130 for Parents - 2013
Aug ?? - mailed I-130 packages for both mother and father
Sept 10 - NOA1 date
Sept 16 - NOA1s received

2014

Feb 25, 26 & 28 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office, then to my local office, and then just transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Mar 20 - N-400 receipt date for my father
2021

Apr 21 - Biometrics appt.

2022
May 2 - Interview

May 20 - Naturalization ceremony

I got my rfe letter 2 days after the interview.. I would call them again if i were you

I do not think you should assume anything as of now. Sometimes this "RFE" alarm in USCIS system in context to N-400 is false alarm; rather they put you in for Oath. Thus, do not think of anything as of now. If you don't hear anything in 10 days or two weeks then you should visit to local USCIS office as it might be a RFE or an oath letter, and sometimes mails do get lost/misplaced.

when you call in again, ask for an ISO, ask the ISO if any returned mail pieces on you.

If there are, go over the CORRECT address and ask the ISO to resend to you all of the returned mail pieces.

how many days is the timelimit on rfe to submit documents?????

They gave me 30 days to submitt evidence, which i did few days after recieving the rfe letter

did u get a response for your n 400???mine rfe didnt arrive,called the office and they told me to send the documents,bec i had 30 days from interview to submit documents.so i did submit it couple of days ago.now lets see when and what response do i get.

No never recieved any response after submitting the evidence.. The case status online still at ( request for evidence)
