AOS Costs?

My husband and I just got married and are now trying to submit the I-485, but we're a little unsure of the filing fee and wanted to confirm with you knowledgable people here

I read the instructions for the form and it says $985... I may just be in shock, looking for a way out, searching for that glimmer of hope here, that I read something wrong! Though I think I know the grizzly truth, could someone that's been through the process give me a little info? Thanks!

It's worse than you thought. Add $85 for the biometrics fee. $1080 total. There will be more in 2 years, then more in three years. The visa is the beginning, not the end.

And it's even more when you add the cost of the I-130.

Adjusting from a K-1 does not require an I-130, unless they did not marry within 90 days of entry.

Yes, there are fees for each. The fee schedule for the K-2s depends on their age. Refer to this USCIS fee schedule for details:

IF a child is under age 13 and files with the parent the fee is $635 and no biometrics. If over age 13 or not filing with the mother, YES $1070 for each
