Hello VJers,

I am forwarding an email to my attorney regarding past employment/addresses on the DS-230 so she could fill it out and I came across a few things.

On the G325A form that we sent with our petitions we did not include some of the short term employments I had (like the ones that were just 2 weeks or a month or two long at most) and that's because I didn't rememeber any of them then as I just found out through EI since we have to include employment for the past 10 years I figured I should dig deeper. So if they differ a little bit (DS-230 and G-325A) is that going to be a problem?? Do I have to include these short termed employments I had? it's the part time jobs I had of when I was in school. I'm trying to make them match but if I write the short termed employments I didn't include with the petitions it won't anymore and I am concerned.

another question on the G-325A the date for one of my addresses was put in wrong instead of FEB it was put it as NOV (don't know how she managed to mix the two) should I write them as she wrote them in the previous forms? or should I write the correct date? again if I do it won't match the G-325A anymore.

You should be filling out the DS-260 online as you're Canadian.... I wouldn't be forwarding anything to your attorney now unless she's doing the online forms for you? They are a little bit different so simply having a filled out DS-230 isn't going to give her all the information she needs.

since yer filing the DS-230 for a K-3 visa currently,

you should make the DS-230 as complete as possible, and don't worry about the errors in the G-325A.

If you want to worry about those errors, make an invoice for chargeback to yer attorney, charging 110 per data error.

September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Emily I feel you. My hubby also had some too short employments and some he did while in school and I felt kinda overwhelmed trying to get down all of them. at the end we just included the ones that lasted longer.

Glad to see you are moving in some direction :)
