our I-130 petition was received by Vermont Service Center June 21, 2012. I am now receiving e-mails from our local office for validation of my address and employment from a task officer with benefit and identity fraud in order to expedite our petition. He said he will interview me soon. Does anyone know anything about this? I have nothing to hide, but am interested if anyone has gone through this before? Someone told me this is good news and that our petition is approved and they are about to epedite for interview.

This looks like the second time this has been reported here recently, although for different circumstances. Perhaps ICE is pulling random files and checking. There were some cases over the last few years posted here, where the DHS did random checks, but they were unannounced home inspections. Maybe they changed tactics recently.

at the moment, I say it's nothing to worry about,

but do bring in copies of all of your relationship evidence.

Good Luck !
