Hi,

is there a possibility to get a U.S. work visa based on a job in a very small (up to 10 employees) U.S. company?

Background: for the last four years I worked for a software startup in Denmark.

I want to start my next job in this business sector being hired by an U.S. software startup.

The question is whether a young and small U.S. company would be willing to handle the VISA formalities for me? How likely is that given the fact that there´s a bunch of other U.S. citizens or green card candidates out there?

You need to ask them. It's a matter of investing money into your application process (substantial amount of it) so for a small company that just started - it may be unlikely. But again - up to them. No one here will be able to give you definitive answer.

If they are prepared to wait and you can demonstrate you exceptional capabilities it could be doable.

Definitely do-able if you have skills/ experience needed (obscure computer language or whatever). Be aware that the process will cost the company $5000+, so they will only do it if you are worth it :)
