:crying: My fiance applied my K1 to TSC in June, 2005. It got the effect of hurricane.( I guess) So my case was transferred from TSC to CSC. It nearly took 7 months to arrive to NVC. We got assist from CIS ombudsman, so my case can arrive in NVC in the end Mar., 2006. I can't believe it have been staying in NVC for another 7 months. Every time, he is told the case has been investigated by Washington agencies. I don't know what we can do apart from waiting. We have hired a lawyer, but the lawyer was so so incapable. Who can tell me which agencies I can look for to help us? It should send to Guangzhou Embassy within 1-3 months. But it is still in USA. Why my case is so unfortunate? When can we get together? Please help me. :help:

ok first, your case was not sent to CSC bc of effects of a hurricane :P since i have been going thru this visa process, and having filed at TSC being sent to CSC, thats just how they have been doing it for awhile. They prolly came across a name hit on you or your fiance. thats what usually causes most cases to sit at the NVC for so long in investigation status. best advice i can give, sit tight, call often and pray for an answer soon.

hugs

Your in what is called "name check hell" It's unfortunate but it happens. Since it has been this long you may consider contacting your senator or congressman. They may not be able to speed things up but they can get better information than you get over the phone at the NVC.

Good luck!

Hey... I know how you feel.

My case got denied for the first time and I have to apply again but trust me, you will get there!

You are getting your back ground check done. Have you called NVC yet?

Normally, from NOA2 to NOA3 is about two to three months.

I suggest you go to a Chinese forum where you might find similar situations...

PM if you don't know the URL yet.

I hate to even ask this, but are you sure your fiance is being honest with you? I'm sorry to suggest anything here but I've heard of cases like this where the guy isn't totally honest with his fiancee. Have you spoke to the NVC yourself?

07 months with the NVC is big joke.

They say it can take up to 90 days, and after 90 days you can request from the USCIS for your package to be resent to the NVC after these 90 days has passed, so....

Call the NVC, by yourself, and ask them what is the procedure to ask to the USCIS to re-send your petition and then call the uscis to do everything they asked for.

It's a long time, so, it's the best thing, the best advice i can give for now...

Or call the congressman, maybe it will help.

God bless you!

just be patient...everything has a reason :)

Be patient??? Give me a break!! They have been waiting 17 months!! There is a time for patience and a time for action. Have your fiance call his congressman and both senators. Get an inquiry going.

YES be patient, you can call, you can call everyday, but nothing is going to get done til it gets done. i advise calling everyday and doing all he can, and indeed call your senator and congressman, no one sided against doing that at all. but this is a visa process, and sometimes there are situations where the process takes longer for some as it dont for others, and if you dont have patience you will run yourself insane. yes theyve been waiting in total 17 months. I waited almost 2 years to be with my husband, and i was raising our son alone until he got here finally, the only thing that helped me not want to run infront of the city bus was PATIENCE!

Thank you very much. I didn't explain very detailed yesterday. We have tried all the effort to call, contact with senator and congressman. All replies are same, I am in review. It seems apart from waiting, no other way to push that.

I had known my fiance for nearly 3 years, we used to be co-workers in the same company. We love each other very much, he calls NVC, I sent some inquiry emails. He always forward me the email which he sent to senator , lawyer...

We choose to marry because we love each other very much. But I can understand others worry, my case is very very abnormal. Acc. to lawyer, it should take 8 months. I can accept longer, but can't be so long.

Thank you very much for your kind words. No matter what kind of terrible situation we will face, we will insist. Because we know we love each other very much, and choose to live forever. Nobody can change this reality at all.

If you have made all the calls you can make, and even your congressman and senator tell you your in review then sweetie the only thing you can do is wait. i know its hard, and i know a girl on here who was in your situation a while back, it was hard to wait but she finally heard something. and no matter who she called, they contacted nvc and was told "the petition is in review". once in review theres not much your congressman and senator can do except wait as well. im sorry your in this situation and i hope to see good news from you soon.

hugs,

Tara

 Thank you very much. We will be patient to wait. We know our future will be very good. It is really very hard right now. We will continue to follow up the case, and encourage each other. I see the pictures of your son. He is really very cute. Good luck for you and your family! (L)

Thank you for the sweet compliment on my son :)

The best place for you to be is VJ. there are many ppl in your situation who can relate and help you get thru it. even the ppl who are not in your situation are here to help you get thru it. we try to help keep you sane and try to help you get by day by day a bit quicker and pain free :) I know you will hear something soon, its just a matter of waiting for the retards who sit on their thumbs all day spinning thinking you have all the time in the world to wait. and even tho we have that time, we dont want it. just keep this in mind, everyday that passes, is a day closer to being with your fiance :)
