I recalled my passports for foreign travel 2 months back now US embassy has called me to resubmit my passport and also asked to be sure about passport not being expired.

Does it mean that they are about to stamp the visa? and if yes yes than how much time will it take to get my passport back ?

visa type H1b Filed from Pakistan.

Yep. Sounds like your visa could be approved. Usually once the Visa is printed, your passport will either be available for pick-up, in a few days, or sent back to you by courier. That will vary by country. You might get better answers in the Work Visa forum, or the Asia South Forum.

Perhaps an organizer could move your post to one of those forums.

Hi, I have similar case, type is H1B, Postdoc, and applied it in Pakistan. I had interview at Islamabad, Pakistan in Jan 2013 and since then my case is under Admin Processing. In end of August 26th, they asked me to submit the passport. I was abroad and i went back Pakistan and submitted my passport on 9 September. Now it has been two weeks, my online status is still under Admin Processing. Last updated for online status was done after i submitted my passport on 19 September as Admin Processing before that it was updated admin processing on 22th Aug and 4 September.

I am worried that do i have to wait again for administrative processing?

Why would embassy ask me to submit my passport if admin processing has never completed? If they asked for my passport then it means i should be positive for my Visa approval?

Why there are multiple updates under admin processing?

Can I ask them to return my passport again since it is under Admin processing again and there is no way to predict how long it would take?

I would appreciate your reply and would also want to know the case conclusion of Scropio?

Thanks!!!
