Hi Guys!

I really wanna ask about the update in getting NBI clearance.

I got mine last year of February and I had a horrible experience in getting this.

I had to wake up 2am in the morning ride on a taxi going to Robinsons Mall. I arrived 2:30am expecting I would be the 1st in line but I noticed a very very very very long line going to the next side of the highway

I have to use overpass to get the last person in line! When I was in the line already, I was so sleepy that time thank God

my mother went with me and I have someone to talk to. Then 6am, the line was moving going to the other side of the highway which is the Robinsons Mall (where I have to get my nbi) and a guard having a head counts. Around 7am we were up there to the 5th floor of the parking area of the mall and the guard was giving the numbers to the people. I just learned that they only accommodate 500 persons (it's very unfortunate for the 501st) and you know I was the 461st in the line knowing I was there at 2:30am OMG!! I finished the whole process about 4:30pm (imagine of long standing, sitting on cold floor, hungry and sleepy)

only to say to me of the officer that I have to get back for again after 2weeks to get my nbi clearance form????? OMG!

Now I have to get one, AGAIN!

Does anyone here (kababayan , sis) any updates?

Is getting nbi same as the last year?

Do I have to wake up again so early to fall in the line again??

any reply's of yours responding to my question about the updates or your experiences getting nbi this year is a big help cause' I might get an idea.

Thanks and God Bless all!

Hello! The fastest way of getting an NBI clearance without waking up so early is by going to the main Branch at Monumento. Ride LRT 1 or the Yellow Line then drop off at Monument Station. Then Walk straight and look for the Victory Central Mall. The NBI Clearance Center is located at the 5th floor.

I went there around 3 P.M. last time (Feb. 2012), and was able to get my NBI clearance around 4 p.m. that day. Only few people knew about this place. There's long line at the beginning but the process gets quicker on Step 2!! People and staff are organized. Do not forget to bring ballpen to avoid waiting and borrowing from other people.

Since it's part of Caloocan, be VERY VERY careful with snatchers and holdupers on your way to the mall. Inside the mall be careful as well! Do not bring any jewelries or eye catching branded bags or cellphones. Dress up like a local or avoid wearing fitted shirts or jeans to avoid perverted maniacs.

I just got mine last week and did the same thing. Pay in G-cash then registered online, went to Robinson Galleria around 4:30pm queue is not that long then go to STEP 3 (Biometrics)and they will schedule releasing of your NBI (i got mine after one week).

I guess this much more convenient.. I'll try this first hope to be successful on this one.

thanks!

Is that accurate and good choice?

I have a gcash account, can I use mine or I have to go to the globe business center?

If I finished the process online and have to get my nbi, do I need to get it in Manila (main) only

or in any places that are affiliated in nbi like Robinsons mall..?

and last thing I am confuse, what should I input

TRAVEL ABROAD?

or

VISA USA?

thanks!

Hi, am not sure about your GCASH account if you can use it. Yes once you pay thru GCASH you will have to go to NBI Manila. That was the instruction to me. I put VISA USA. You're welcome :)

Hi again, please check to see if you can visit other NBI offices once you paid thru GCASH and registered ONLINE. But sure, it is a lot easier, fast and accurate. :)

Hello!

Is NBI clearance the only thing that's needed if I haven't changed my address for the last 7 years before I moved out of the country? Or will I need to get a barangay clearance?

For all of your Philippine addresses, you will only need an NBI clearance.

If you have not lived in a foreign country for 6 months or more you do not need a police clearance. Police clearance only needed from foreign countries you have lived in.

Don't DO-DO when DO will DO.

  • 3 months later...

I was just wondering if I fill out online what should I input?

TRAVEL ABROAD or USA VISA??

I am confuse about this two..

I was also confused about this because you can't read any instructions from USEM website if what will we going to put on the NBi clearance..... The NBI officer asked me if what is my purpose in getting an NBI clearance. I told him that I will need it for spouse visa. Then he asked me if what country. Then I answered him, USA....... So he put "VISA USA" on my NBI clearance. I will attach this on my DS 230 form.... I hope I wont get any problem with it :)

The embassy states in their instructions letter that the NBI should be for TRAVEL ABROAD, here is a link to the letter. You will not have any problem with the putting VISA USA either. You won't have issues with it stating VSA USA either.
