06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

No one goes to any USCIS field office for anything so I don't know what all the talk about travel is all about.

I went to a USCIS field office for something. :whistle:

09/19/2011 - noa1 received

3/16/2012 - case sent to my local USCIS office for additional processing

4/21/2012 - AP. If we haven't heard from them in SIX MONTHS (omg) we can feel free to call them!!! Thanks!

9/20/2012 - Interview scheduled - October 3!!!!

10/3/2012 - Interview went well but she must look at his A-file more before decision.

10/12/2012 - I-130 APPROVED! APPROVED! APPROVED!

KIDS' CASES

04/20/2012: NOA107/20/2012: instead of an approval, we got thrown into AP. sigh

11/01/2012: Boys' I-130 interview set for November 28, 2012.

11/28/2012: I-130s APPROVED! APPROVED! APPROVED!

NVC

12/14/2012: NVC Received

12/31/2012: Case number/IIN

12/31/2012: DS-3032 sent

01/08/2013: DS-3032 accepted

01/02/2013: AOS bill0

1/03/2013: AOS bill shows PAID

I just read that USCIS is closing the Kingston Embassy on March 1 and its stating that the embassy in Santo Domingo will assume all duties. Does this mean we will have to fly to the Dominican Republic for his interview??? I'd appreciate any kind of insight into this because I'm just in disbelief...Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse.....Any Jamaica VJ members that gets an interview scheduled after March 1 - please share!

It is just like a department moving to another location, but the company is not moving.

In Kingston, Jamaica, what did you go for? Kingston hasn't done DCF since the last 7 years, so you just went to see if you could go?

To put it bluntly most people in Jamaica doesn't even know there is a field office there. So you must have been one of a few if you even have gone there.

The title mention Jamaica, therefore I was responding to a Jamaican post. I can not nor would I be addressing the universal in a post that was about a field office in Jamaica.

The subject of the post was a field office closing in Jamaica.

These threads aren't country specific. Anyone from any country can come along and read any post. If someone just starting out read this and they have an interview at a USCIS office and read that NO ONE ever goes to a USCIS field office for ANYTHING, they could get worried about their own situation. I didn't even want to go there with you on this. A simple, "my bad, I obviously meant in Jamaica." would have been just fine, but we all know it's so hard for some people on VJ to acknowledge that they might be in the wrong, even slightly. You mentioned Jamaica multiple times in your other posts, why would you do that if "the title mentions Jamaica, therefore you I was responding to a Jamaican post."

I wont be responding after this because I am willing to bet the farm that instead of you responding with, "yes, I should have added 'in Jamaica' to my 'any' statement", you will just come back with a snotty remark on how you were smart and I am dumb!

Duh....Hardly think the US would close Jamaicas embassy anytime soon, there's The FBI, Military among other Depts here plus

other Islands citizen travel here to pick up their visas since they have no embassy, being the leading Island originally, we have our

probs like evryone else, but no the embassy will not close, the staff and embassy is housed in the Golden Triangle the best or one

of the best area to reside in Kingston, that was just a dept. most Jamaicans never use so they'll not miss it.
