why is it when u go to immigration timelines tab here on visajourney and on the page where it says....Processing Dates for Common Forms: petitions with NOA1 dates as follows are currently being processed I-129F for K1: CSC august 29 2012.........how in the hell? who is figuring these statistics? they're saying they are processing august 29th filers when it is very clear and obvious that only one august filer has been processed and clearly there is a back log of a bunch of filers still waiting from the end of july. i think they need to have someone with some math skills be in charge of this cause their numbers are way off.....not saying i'm the smartest person about math but i am an engineer and something aint right.....how are they processing end of august when they haven't even begun to touch august

What happens is that expedites throw the *statistics* off. The VJ timelines are just an estimate and the best guess is by pulling up recent approvals and seeing for yourself what dates they are processing.

why would they include expedites in the data? that would for sure make the data incorrect all the time and it would be so far off course it would be point less to even post it..........last week it was spot on ...it said july 26th being processed and in a matter of days it jumped to august 29th

i have browsed thru hundred of profiles..........it's just irking me that their saying most of august has processed when clearing all august filers a crying and about ready to pull the hair out after waiting 5 months of waiting and now being told now its 7 months for a NOA2 from CSC

ugh guess its just my nitpicking, i'll just stop checking, wish our government or anyone cud produce some real numbers............hey VJ why dont you put expedites in their own catergory so we could have valid numbers :bonk:

Just be grateful that there is even someone working to provide a rough picture for you. This is a volunteer site and sometimes it annoys me that people expect the earth from the resources here. Not going to happen.

The figures are also generated by the site software based upon the data entered by our users. The results are only going to be as good as the data that is imputed. Timeline information is often not completed or not filled in correctly and all of that can influence the results. Plus, while we have a large user base, we are still only a fraction of the number of applicants who are being processed by USCIS - and none of them have inputted data to this site. So, there is no one individual who tabulates formulas to determine statistics. And, as esponderby mentioned, everyone who is associated with the site is a volunteer chosen from among the membership by the Site Administrator to participate in helping to keep the site functioning. If you have a skill or an ability that you are willing to donate to help improve the accuracy of the information presented by the site, please don't hesitate to step forward and let the Site Administrator know that you are interested in volunteering as well.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

thank u Kathryn41 for the informative information......i wish i had better computer skills to volunteer.....i wonder if anyone has thought to put an option for a drop down box to be listed as an expedite....ya know kinda like they do when u choose what office your case is filed at.....i think it would comfort a lot of people if we knew those people weren't being calculated in as the rest of waiting soooo long

epsonderby.....i could really care less if your annoyed and i don't think anyone else cares.....if i was looking for the world it wouldn't be here on VJ...i was merely making a suggestion....im sure improvements are done to this site all the time as well as any website that has existed.....so go be annoyed and be troll on someone else's post :ot2:
