B1/B2 is a visitor/business visa category. You may take a chance to apply for B1/B2 visa, and see if you have luck to get approval.

Nope, have to sound real! Because i read somewhere that marriage should not be done immediately. Otherwise department will doubt.

Washington alone will take like 5 days, for visiting. There's really a lot to visit in US.

In general, you are given 6 months on a tourist visa, so that should be plenty of time for your plans. You can get married on your first day in the USA if local law allows, it does not matter- it is perfectly legal to use a tourist visa to get married in the USA, but you are not allowed to IMMIGRATE/ STAY on such a visa, which is not your plan anyway.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
