The last time I sent money to my husband we used Western Union. But he had some trouble getting to a Western Union to get the money. He is in the UK, I am in the US. I bank with a credit union and have major credit cards.

Need some insights from more experienced people .... what is the best way to send money to my husband?

I know you can send money from one bank account to another. I did that once by going into the bank and asking... there was some info I needed about his bank account, but I don't remember what, because it was a while ago.

I think Western Union also has an option for depositing money straight into a bank account.

Alternatively, I have also used a service called Moneygram. It's just like Western Union, but I think their fees were slightly less.

My fiance and I use Paypal. It takes a few days to get deposited in my bank account, but it doesn't cost anything for him to send me money.

We also found Xoom to be the best option until I could hand an ATM card to my husband to keep and use over there. I opened a secondary account at my bank and put my husband's "allowance" or whatever ever else he needed in that to use while overseas. He still has it and uses it here as well. I transfer 200$/month into that for his "blow money".

It was very nice to have that option when he was there last month having surgery and needing to pay for other stuff. It was fast and secure.

Good luck.
