Don't worry about this message. I got same message on november 30, 2012. After a week we got our approved NOA 2 in mail. By the way , when I check status at USCIS web site is still remains the same-INITIAL REVIEW

The website information is unreliable for NBC cases. This email is probably the result of somebody unintentionally selecting the wrong boilerplate email to send. As long as they put the approved petition on the right stack, all is well.

Hi everyone, plz I just received dis on my case status and I'm scared what it means..has anyone ever seen this before

On January 25, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we certified our approval of this case and sent it to the appropriate appellate body for review. They will notify you directly when they make a final decision. If you move while this case is pending, follow the instructions provided in the notice and use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Urgent responce needed

Appellate usually means review, or review a judgement...

looking at the context of this letter, I can break it down into 2 parts. First, your application was approved. And second, it is sent to another section for review of this approval. That's the way I read it.

Good luck.

And that's the correct way to read it, IF IF IF it's the correct message. I'm thinking it's possible the local office approved it and sent it to NBC to bundle with others for shipment to NVC. BUT, that's only educated speculation. Communication has been a mess since NBC got involved but approvals have been faster.

Hi, may I know what happened to your status since it's been a month already. My I485 and I130 were approved at the same time last February 16, but I130 went back to initial review status having the same explanation as yours.

I am confused as well.

Thanks!

I am assuming that since my file was in Wash DC (confirmed via info pass), maybe they approve it at the field offices and send it over to the NBC which triggers this message? The NBC then formally approves it and sends the NOA2 letter. Again, this is just my speculation. I hope its a good message tho :S
