Hey, I think I will be in the same situation....my I-130 was approved on April 5th and then today I just got an email saying that my I-129f was just approved! I will keep you all posted to see if mine survives through the NVC. I'm like you, I just want to be with my Husband, I don't care how I get there!!

Likely, for you at least, even if the I-129F makes it to the NVC first and they send it on to Montreal, the consulate will close the I-129F because there is an approved I-130. This happened to EmilyS, the starter of this thread.

I know because our I-130 petition was approved before I-129F but managed to get to NVC and leave before I-130 even got there. I don't think you can put both of them on your timeline, can you?

Absolutely ! but ya change yer 'type' in the timeline section.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You have moved VERY fast. Smile and be happy. :)

Also double check in your timeline. Your I-130 would not have been adjudicated at the Texas Service Center. If the numbers start with MSC, that would be the National Benefits Center.

Our lawyer told us that it was sent to Texas and from there to Jacksonville, Fl......not too sure what's up with that. Yes, we are so happy about how it's been going, I am following your timeline and what a crime it is on how long they took to approve your stuff. Looks like you are just ahead of us with the NVC stuff. I was talking with my lawyer today and they are waiting to get our case number and a package from the NVC, I hope if doesn't take too long, I just want to get home!

Talk to you soon!

Can someone pursue both CR-1 and K3 to see which one gets a faster interview date? Our K3 survived through NVC and it will be at the consulate soon, I can't decide which route to take since I have no idea which one will be faster at this point, because we want to take whatever route reunites us faster and don't care about the advantages of CR-1 at this point...I just want my hubby sad.gif

If that's not possible and you have to just go with one...does anyone know if we can expedite our CR-1 with the NVC right now? since the k3 will be at the consulate and I-130 still sitting at the NVC to be logged into the system (no case number yet) I know they don't like giving K3s out, if one asks to expedite the case so that they can take that route and not the K3, do you think it will be approved?

I appreciate any help you can give me

I am in the same boat. My K3 went to the Madrid embassy before I got a case number for the I-130. Did you end up doing the K3? We are thinking of scheduling the K3 interview and while waiting for the I-130. What happened with your case?

I think I'm also going to be in the same boat...both my I-130 & I-129f were approved today. So basically I'm just waiting to see where the I-129f gets cancelled? NVC might cancel it when they get the I-130 or the consulate will cancel it when they see the I-130?

With EmilyS her k3 route was closed by the Montreal consulate when they learned she had an approved I-130.

Sometimes the embassy or consulate will let you choose but sometimes they won't. Her I-129F just happened to make it before the I-130 in enough time to be shipped off. Most of the time, even that doesn't happen.
