While checking our status I see that the USCIS has released a portion of their manual. Does anyone know when they plan to open the rest? http://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual.html

There's more information here:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=5ac9fe78ac41c310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=68439c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Other than the citizenship volume, they're not giving out any specific dates on when the other volumes will become available and ready online.

The Adjudicators Field Manual has served as the "policy bible" for a long time. According to the description, this new policy manual will eventually replace the AFM. In the meantime, you can still read most of the AFM online by clicking on the appropriate link on this page:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=a2e29c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=a2e29c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Bear in mind that the announcement appears to indicate that there will be some policy changes, and those changes might not be reflected in the current online version of the AFM.

I suspect that USCIS has been notified from the top levels of the Executive Branch to prepare for some changes, either as the result of legislative changes, executive orders, or both. This is probably their first step in making those preparations.
