Hi everyone, I just want to know if it will be too early to get the form DS-3032 done, I am the USC, I recieved the hardcopy for NOA1 so we were wondering should we start that form and he send it to me now or should we wait till the NVC stage, I am wondering because he has the info already and I know you have to sign one part of the form and leave the other blank for the Consulate, will they look at the date on it and say something about it cause the date will be early as suppose if we wait for the NOA2 approval. Just curious cause he will sign it and date it and want to know if they have a limited time for you to do that. Thank you for your response.

the title of your thread is for ds-230, yet here you ask about the ds-3032, they are 2 totally different forms. The DS 3032- you can prepare now and have the beneficiary sign, it is the chioce of agent form. The ds-230 is the IV application form, you should wait until the time is closer in case anything changes. Good luck

Yes you can get everything ready but dont put a date on it. Have him sign it but you can put the date on it. I have all my husband papers sign by him already and I told him dont put a date on it. DS-230 have him sign the first part but not the second page. (Dont put a date on it)

I highly advise you go to the NVC filers thread and please read post #1 and #2

Its always a good idea to prepare in advance. And like the previous poster stated sign do not date. I had my husband DS-230 filled out a year in advance.

You can gather everything you need but the police report. That you should wait until you actually get your NOA2 depending on the expiration time for your country.

Ds-3032 is simply a choice of agent form

The ds-230 is the IV application. Things on it COULD change prior to it being sent which means you'd need a new form. It should be dated WHEN it's signed. That's the point of dating it, you're saying when you signed it was correct and done. I am not completely sure it's legal to date it later? I'm not a lawyer. I've always had to date legal documents when I've signed them. But what if something changes like the beneficiary loses their job, has to move, visits the USA etc... The form would no longer be correct and current. Be careful doing forms that are ready to be sent too early. You could have anywhere from a month to 12 months or more waiting for NOA2 and a lot can happen.

I disagree that you should wait on the police checks. Apply for them NOW! We had to wait months for ours and it really slowed us down. Most are valid for 1 year. It might be wise to double check before applying, but definitely start on that now. You will be thankful later!

I agree to check and see. DO not assume it is a year. Algeria's expires after 90 days and my husband wound up needing to get his 3 separate times before the entire process was over.
