Im reading the lingche nvc shortcut and i wanted to ask once you have your case number and give them our emails, do they just send us the bar-code cover sheet via email? Or do you recommend that we create our own? (what is the website i saw it but i cant find it now). Also what is the Invoice ID Number for? and do we need that as well as the case number?

these two forms are strictly for the beneficiary right?

you get the cover sheet when you ur AOS and IV bill payments.

the link for creating barcode was made for when DS 3032 had to be by snail mail. now NVc accepts email as long as you follow the template suggested here. even if you still snail mail the Ds 3032, just write ur case # on a strip on paper and GLUE on the form

you need Invoice number to log in and make payments on the payment portal.

The invoice ID # is used in conjunction with your case number to log into this website to pay the AOS and IV fees online. Once you pay the fees, like ndu26 said, you will be able to print out the official bar code pages. You can't send the packages until you submit the payment for the fees anyway.

Both the 3032 and the IV packet are for the beneficiaries information. The 3032 just says who will be sending the info, also the IV fee won't be billed until the accept the 3032.

So being the petitioner do i need to send off the AOS part before my husband does these forms? or do we do them at the same time? Also, when sending it via email, is it faster rather than snail mail? Also, sending it via email does he have to scan it (i read it has to be the originals) even though its not an original?

thank you! Where can i see the prices? or is it after the fact i recieve the case number and the ID # that ill know how much it will be?

AOs is $88 and DS 230 is $230( it will show in the payment portal). unless ur country is eligible for electronic processing and you have OPTED IN. you ust send the documents by snail when the times comes.

you can choose to send the AOS ahead of time while you gather your DS 230 together or you wait and mail them out together . this part depends on personal choice.

sometimes when you do it separately, they may send a false checklist for the 230 even if you have sent it to them ( so dnt worry)

You can get the email template for the 3032 here.

The order you send the NVC your AOS and IV packets will be determined by which one you get billed for first. Hit submit to pay the fee and send off the corresponding packet.

All docs for the NVC, unless otherwise stated in the official instructions for the I-864 and DS-230 forms (or you can reference a handy dandy guide from the guides link at the top of the page), need to be originals or certified/legalized copies. All of these will need to be mailed in unless your husband is from a country that is able to file the DS-260 in which case he can just scan everything and email it. I can't remember if DR was on that list or not.

AOS = $88

IV = $230 (I think, I haven't paid it yet)

Also, remember after Feb 1st your husband will have to pay $165 at POE for USCIS green card fee. Anyone feel free to correct anything I missed or botched.

I had another question, since one of you said that i could send these forms together? can i really? im leaving for my husbands country on febrery 28th ( i mean i want to get as much done as possible before going there so we can get a interview date scheduled while im there hopefully)

Once you are invoiced for the two fee's and you pay you are free to send in your packets.

Just stay on top of your case# being assigned and call and follow the guide.

Do you already have all your packages assembled and ready to go?
