CITIZENSHIP: 

Biometrics appointment for 2020-03-27 has been cancelled until further notice as all field offices are closed because of COVID-19.

***NOA dated 12/10/2020 USCIS stated they are able to reuse previous Biometrics***

Interview was easy. My hubby's Oath Ceremony is scheduled for February 25th. I can't watch >sad< but happy he is getting his certificate!

My wife had her interview this morning and passed. :yes: The DCF process was actually pretty fast...and I'm looking forward to getting back to the USA!

8 years I've been here in China! I am so happy and looking forward to...Haha...Taco Bell. LOL.

My wife is still in Guangzhou awaiting her flight home, and sending me text messages. We are both pretty excited. My cat, however, is probably not so excited, as he has a bad few days ahead...but I'm sure he'll be loving that Miami weather once we arrive!

02 Dec 2011: Moved back to UK. Intentions permanent. Permanent residency abandoned.

27 Oct 2012: Hubby homesick, I-130 sent.

30 Oct 2012: Signed for at Embassy

06 Nov 2012: I-130 Returned, USA Card Declined due to Fraud Alert despite letting them know first.

10 Nov 2012: I-130 Resent.

17 Nov 2012: I-130 Returned, UK Card Declined - probably the same reason.

20 Nov 2012: I-130 sent with bankers draft

26 Nov 2012: NOA1 Received - Finally...

13 Dec 2012: NOA2 Approval Date

HUGE congratulations!!

One question about the paperwork you submitted at the interview: did you have to give the consular officer the USC's original birth certificate? Or was a photocopy sufficient? I am the USC but my birth certificate is from Belarus and it is nearly impossible to get the original or certified copy from the Belarusian Embassy. So wondering if I can get away with sending my husband to the interview with a certified translation and a photocopy of the original?

Good idea to send spouse with the USC passport. I think the document requirements might be different in London -- they say they definitely need the birth certificates of all family members:

Birth Certificate: Obtain the original, or certified copy, of the birth record of each family member (yourself, your spouse, and all unmarried children under the age of 21, even if they are not immigrating with you. If the children are deceased, so state giving year of death).
