Any I-130 denials for missing too much paperwork?

Actually it is funny you should ask NY_BX! She has lied in the past about what she turned in and when, but had excuses for each one. She actually gave me a copy of her NOA1 with the case number, it went to the NBC. See my husbands friend asked if we would help since they were married before us and my husband is now here in the US with me and they have gone nowhere in the process. His friend thought his wife needed help... I just don't think he knew what type of help she needs!

I will definitely run an update. I really am very curious to see how this is handled at each phase!

Maybe she wants to get denied and thinks he loves her and they will live happily ever after in Algeria lol

I think you might have nailed it!

By the way what is DZ? Country? I'm on phone. ;)

DZ is the code for DJAZAIR which is the proper way to pronounce Algeria in Arabic.

I'm in the middle of checking my sample data, and I saw an RFE paragraph wording that does not look like the usual one. It says

On January 19, 2013, we mailed a notice requesting evidence/information for this case to you or your representative. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the material requested. This case will be held in suspense until we either receive the evidence/information or the opportunity to submit it expires. A new processing period will begin when we receive your response. You or your representative will be notified by that office of a decision or if any further information or action is needed from you. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. (emphasis mine)

I bet this is what you get when you return just the form, since it is not rejected but a new processing period will begin when the evidence is received. Of course I don't know for sure and every case and every processing official is different.

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

first time i lugh in VJ god's help them

And here I thought I was the only one thinking this way! :star:

I am sure she is aware of what happens at the NVC stage as I told her. But I also told her how to do the I-130 correctly, so go figure. It's funny because she does keep saying "I don't know why they denied us the last time. What's wrong with us?"... when in fact she DOES know - it is because she filed the wrong form over a YEAR earlier. Yikes.

DZ is the country code for Algeria.. I have no idea why.

My husband tried to explain but frankly he makes no sense to me regarding this! :bonk:

Is this a joke or real?

Anyways to answer your question, I do know someone who sent in only the I-130 form, two G-325A forms, two passport photos and the fee. No any kind of certificate or bona fide proof. USCIS cashed their check and requested them a long list of REF about 40 days they submitted the application.

Unfortunately this is very real. Thanks for the feedback. I have to say I am surprised they would request such a long list. To me if the petitioner cannot even take the time to follow the directions or put forth the effort they should be told to try again. Maybe I am just mean though. :)

I suppose they should. After all they did cash the appliant's check so they were supposed to do something rather than just "denying".
