Hi ,

Anyone processed CR1 from india?

What kind of wait time did you have.

Also I am confused on the submission on of the DS230 and medical etc.

Do I have to send them to my husband to send to NVC or is this through VFS or something?

USCIS

5/11/2013: NOA 1-130

2/21/2014: I-130 Approved

NVC Stage

3/17/2014: NVC received case

4/16/2014: NVC case number assigned

4/23/2014: DS-261 Submitted Online

4/24/2014: AOS bill generated and paid

4/29/2014: AOS bill shows PAID

4/30/2014: IV bill generated and paid

5/2/2014: NVC receives AOS Package

5/5/2014: IV bill shows PAID

5/7/2014: NVC receives IV Package

5/8/2014: DS-260 Completed and submitted

5/30/2014: Case Complete !!

6/5/2014: CC Email Received

6/11/2014: Interview Date Scheduled

7/17/2014: Interview Date at Mumbai

The petitioner(after being made the agent of choice at the right time by the beneficiary) sends the DS 230 and supporting documents if he/she is in the U.S as this is faster and safer. Study the guides on this site.

09/15/2012: Got Married
09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK

N-400: (3 months and 12 days)
Filed N-400 : 2011-06-17
Interview: 2011-09-27
Oath Ceremony: 2011-09-30

IR-5 for Mom Entire process took 5 months exactly
USCIS (22days)
mailed I-130 : 2011-09-30
NOA 1: 2011-10-03 (text & email)
NOA 2: 2011-10-25 (text and email)
NVC: (19 days)
Case entered and # assigned: 2011-11-18
NVC Case COMPLETED: 2011-12-07 ( 43 days from NOA 2 and 65 days from NOA 1)
Interview Date(Lagos): 2012-01- 23 Mom was late for interview
New Interview date: 2012-02-29 : VISA APPROVED

Hi,

Thanks for the reply .

I went through the step by step guide. Was really useful.

I could not figure out for CR1

a) is the medical exam just before the interview, and I carry it to consulate, or does the medical report need to be mailed to the NVC

b) K1 needs ds-3025, and i-169. I did not see any form for medical for CR1 visa, do I need the same things?

CR1- most often the medical is done after you are booked an interview by the NVC. It can happen without, it's consulate/embassy specific and some requre you to book the interview not the NVC. You take the results to the consulate with you to the interview or the physician sends it to the consulate/embassy. It is not mailed to the NVC. You don't need any extra forms. In some countries you need the interview letter to book the medical with a panel physician. Remember the medicals can only be done by certain doctors.

If you fill out your timeline and profile it helps people give you more specific information to what stage you are and an which consulate you are using. Otherwise we're kind of leading you a little blind. ;)

Hi ,

I am yet to start the process , but I am gathering all the forms etc in advance, and doing as much filling/gathering evidence etc as possible.

Can anyone who went through CR1 let me know what forms were used, is it the ds-3025(i know its there for K1 but also CR1?) , and i-169 too
