I don't know if this will affect you or not, but I'll tell you our experience at the Social Security office. After my husband had his oath ceremony (citizenship) we went to SSA to show the certificate and change his records with them to US citizen. The lady looked at the date and said, "Oh I hope it's in the database. They say to allow 10 (working?) days for the naturalization to be recorded." It had been less than that, but she did find it in the database and all was okay. So look at the date of approval and judge from that. I know VJ tells K1s to wait 2 weeks after POE to go get their SS card, but it hadn't dawned on me that all status changes have to be in the database, even with the official naturalization certificate in hand. Cross your fingers and hope your "post-decision activity" included USCIS promptly entering your work authorization into the SAVE database so your day won't be a waste.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.
