Nigerian Tourist Visa Fee

It used to be 112 online payment with a 30$ money order. Not its 160 online payment but i dont see any moneyorder that is requested. am I wrong? or do i still have to send moneyorder for 30 with my passport.

Are you using the portal through the Nigerian Embassy website?

The $30 is money order for the processing fee

Unless you want it expedited its $85.

And yes it went up beginning of last year.

You should be on the swcgloballlc link that's with the embassy. You only can pay online.

yes did that. but there is no mention of a money order now and the fee is 160 for a tourist visa from usa.

On the page of what to include in the package it mentions money order. Trust me its required or they will send it all back. Made out the the Nigerian Embassy.

I don't think you are on the right site. I just went to it nigerianembassyusa.org and the tab for Consular u click on the drop down Visas and there's all the instructions before you go to the portal to pay.

Don't know which embassy you will send your things to you have DC or Atlanta.

But just to show you right on their page is this.

REQUIREMENTS FOR NIGERIAN TOURIST VISA

All visa applications and payment of fees are to be made through the Nigeria immigration Website at https:portal://immigration.gov.ng.  After filling the online form, print out the form and submit. Proceed to the payments section and make the payment. Be sure to print out confirmation of payment and attach to the application. These documents should be mailed to the Embassy with a PROCESSING FEE of $30.00, per applicant, in money order addressed to the Embassy of Nigeria. If expedited service is required, the processing fee is $85.00 in money order (made payable to the Embassy of Nigeria).

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR TOURIST VISA

Current Passport (with at least 6 months validity)

Completed visa application form

Confirmation of online payment

2 passport size pictures

Letter of invitation from host accepting full immigration responsibility

Data page of host Passport,

Confirmed Hotel reservation, if the applicant is not staying with host.

Evidence of funds to cover stay in Nigeria (letter from bank etc.)

Holders of non–US passports must provide proof of legal residency (photocopy of green card)

Copy of airline ticket or flight itinerary.(WHERE APPLICABLE).

MAILING INSTRUCTIONS

All applications to be submitted by mail must be sent via an envelope with a tracking number. The application must also have a self-addressed prepaid FEDEX, UPS, or USPS EXPRESS MAIL return envelope. All visa applications posted to the Embassy MUST HAVE TRACKING NUMBERS. Do not attach a standard envelope and stamp, as the Embassy will send back the application, unprocessed.

EMBASSY DROP OFF

The Embassy of Nigeria, Washington D.C. Visa Office is open for drop off and collection from Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

I paid $160 for mine last year but it was marked multiple entry so I think as long as I go back again within the year I dont need to get another one...
