Just received RFE notice.

Hi all.

I just received my RFE. Here what it said:

F. (40) The sponsor or joint sponsor (if required) on Form I-864 Afficavit of Support must submit the following:

. W-2, 1099s, and/or all schedules submitted to the IRS--a copy of his/her Federal income tax return was submitted and/or the sponsor or joint sponsor requested an extension ot file his or hier Federal income tax return.

.Federal income tax returns for the most recent tax year or certified Internal Revenue Service (IRS) copies. To obtain return transcripts of your income tax records from the IRS, you may complete Form 4506-T Request for Transcript of Tax Return, found on the internet at http://irs.gov/ or call toll-free (800) 829-1040 to order a "Return Transcript." The request for astranscript of your tax return must be submitted to the IRS, not this office. If the sponsor was not required to file a federal tax return for the most recent tax year, the sponsor must provide an explanation as to why s/he was not required to file federal income taxes.

. Evidence of current employment or self-employment including a letter from each employer on business stationery, showing beginning date of employment, type of work performed, number of hours worked per week, and salary or wages paid. If you are self-employed, submit a recently dated letter on business letterhead or a business license.

When I submitted my AOS for my wife, I did submitted my 1099s, all schedules, my business letterhead, most recent 3 years tax return, business licence. what is the deal with USCIS? Do I have to fill out another I-864 and resubmit all the letters and tax return again?

Hi Billy we just got the exact same rfe saying the exact same thing...we had sent all of it off with our original package, so we have re sent what they were asking for...makes ya mad doesnt it?

Hello Billy,

i got that RFE too. We submitted the newest or an updated of all the affidavit of support documents. they are asking for the most recent records.

and when you mail it, be sure to make copies.

Thank you so much for replying. I thought, I'm the only one who received the RFE for the same documents that already submitted. My question now, do I have to resend the I-864 along with the new documents?

Hey,

This sounds kind of suspicious, if all of you got similar RFEs even after (apparently) doing things right.

My question: Are these RFEs all coming from the Nebraska center? Maybe it's some sort of a glitch or just incompetence?

I'm wondering because I got three emails today (apparently all identical) from USCIS saying that an RFE had been mailed to me November 8. I haven't gotten it yet, and I won't anytime soon, because I live in Ukraine. I was in the Peace Corps here and now I'm working as a journalist. I met my fiancee here almost 3 years ago, and we have WAY more than enough evidence to prove our relationship.

I'm relying on my parents to read the RFE and tell me what I have to do. I'm dying to know what's in the envelope, and I pray that it's something paperwork-related and not them questioning that I've actually met my fiancee.

The problem is that since I live over here, my parents will probably have to do the paperwork. And if they want tax returns from me, well, that's a problem, since I was in the Peace Corps and only made $5 per day, which means I DIDN'T HAVE to file tax returns (so I didn't).

So, I know I should just wait patiently for the RFE, but can anyone alleviate my worries?

My RFE is not from Nebraska. It was from National Benefits Center. I am wondering how do you Adjust of Status while you are in Ukraine?
