i'm not saying that the mother isn't being completely opportunistic. but the mother being opportunistic doesn't mean that the child was forced into believing they were transgendered. one doesn't rule out the other.

The age of consent in most states is 18. Society decided that someone is not emotionally mature enough to know their own mind and make the decision whether to have sex or not until they turn 18.

But it seems a 5 year old is emotionally mature enough to decide that they want to change sex! Give me a break.

This is child abuse. This "mother" decided she wants to turn little Johnny into a girl for her own agenda. He'll be home schooled so he isn't bullied by other kids and he doesn't see how wrong this is and objects to it.

If an adult decides they want to change gender fine. That's up to them but a child should not be allowed to make that decision or be coerced into it by an adult in the same way a child should not be allowed to have or be coerced into having sex.

What does the adopted from China part have to do with it? Plenty of homosexuals or people who cannot conceive adopt children, and many of them choose to do it from countries like China.

Most transgendered adults will tell you that they felt those feelings since childhood. And that their childhood was miserable because of it.
