I"m the same as you j&js, I was born in 81 but I  me some 80's music!!! Some of my faves

The Living Years by Mike and the Mechanics that song always makes me cry

Every generation

Blames the one before

And all of their frustrations

Come beating on your door

I know that I’m a prisoner

To all my father held so dear

I know that I’m a hostage

To all his hopes and fears

I just wish I could have told him in the living years

Crumpled bits of paper

Filled with imperfect thought

Stilted conversations

I’m afraid that’s all we’ve got

You say you just don’t see it

He says it’s perfect sense

You just can’t get agreement

In this present tense

We all talk a different language

Talking in defence

Say it loud, say it clear

You can listen as well as you hear

It’s too late when we die

To admit we don’t see eye to eye

So we open up a quarrel

Between the present and the past

We only sacrifice the future

It’s the bitterness that lasts

So don’t yield to the fortunes

You sometimes see as fate

It may have a new perspective

On a different day

And if you don’t give up, and don’t give in

You may just be o.k.

Say it loud, say it clear

You can listen as well as you hear

It’s too late when we die

To admit we don’t see eye to eye

I wasn’t there that morning

When my father passed away

I didn’t get to tell him

All the things I had to say

I think I caught his spirit

Later that same year

I’m sure I heard his echo

In my baby’s new born tears

I just wish I could have told him in the living years

Say it loud, say it clear

You can listen as well as you hear

It’s too late when we die

To admit we don’t see eye to eye

the carpenters and barry manilow

you mean Barely Manenough ;)

ROTFLMHineyOFF!!!

I'm just glad nobody mentioned anything from Firehouse......yikes.

Here's another one:

Mmmm bop....dang that's catchy.

 mmm bop

well since you mentioned mm bop I don't feel as nerdy mentioning "beat of my heart" by Hillary Duff...what's sooo bad about it is that 1-I am not a teeny bopper, 2-I think Hillary Duff does not sing well, and 3- just watching her sing gets on my nerves especially with her new weird looking teeth. Yet the song itself is catchy and I embarassingly like it, the music more than the singing.

:help::help::help:

haha... you are not alone...

i bought the cassette!!! haha

*groan*

buttttttttttttttt... it WAS Donny Osmond... *sigh*... had a huuuuuuuuuuuuge crush on him when i was a kid in the 70's!

ooohhhh that is and embarassing one....I won't let you hang out there along though. Get ready for this one! I used to sing this one real loud.....when.....nobody was home of course.

"Soldier of Love" by Donny Osmond

Like a thief in the night, who can't get enough. I am willing to fight, because I'm a soldier of love.

Tho' lovers be lost, love shall not... and death shall have NO dominion!

Footloose - yes indeed! Although it reminds me of Kevin Bacon doing some pretty ridiculous dancing.

Hahahaha

"Money, money" - the Billy Joel version. People still go crazy for that song here and hit the dance floor.

And one last "uhhh ooo oooh" to boot.

 you can hang with my mum... she LOVES that song!

No way! How old is your mom?

she's 59. but she adores that song and its hilarious because she sings it so properly, pronouncing every letter, almost opera-like.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I wanted to stop dancing but I am 2 Legit, 2 Legit to quit.

The bad thing is that I know the hand gesture that goes with that song.

You know some people were practicing dancing to those jams.....Michael Jackson too. I bet we've got a lot of closet break dancers on this forum. You know they wore those red and black leather coats and the headbands.
