On June 04, 2012 we get a notice saying that my case has been accepted

I have been racking site of USCIS ever since

first they use to say that processsing time is 5 months...now they claim 6.2 months.

But in one week...it will be approximately 8 months...now in Jan 24, 2013.

can anyone pl guide me when my case will get approval.

also..can anyone guide me the time frame for afterward process (the case transfer to NVC and interview and visa)

I seriously need some advice to know whats happening....

Thanks in advance.

The chart you are using for 6.2 months is an average time of approval for the past x number of months and it cannot be relied on as VSC has dramatically slowed down. you need to use the chart located here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

Go to the bottom of the screen after you click the above link. Then click on the appropriate service center (in your case, Vermont), and you'll be brought to a new screen. From that screen scroll down until you find your application type. This will give you a better idea as to what Vermont is currently working on (May 28th applications and sooner). Technically they have been working on June 4th (as 5 other June 4th apps have been approved on this site --> http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=2&visa=3&scenter=2&option=3&sortby=2) so your approval will be here any day now, probably. Once the date on the accurate chart gets past June 4th, you will be able to phone in and ask for a service request. But you should be approved fairly soon.

Good luck! :time:

unfortunately VSC is seriously backed up right now - you're not the only one who's been waiting since may or june to get approved. ): however, good news is that they're now supposed to be processing early june applications, so your NOA2 could come any day! it's all just a matter of crossing your fingers and checking your email religiously.

once you get your NOA2, it could take anywhere from two weeks to a month for NVC to get your case and assign the necessary numbers, but you should start calling about a week after your NOA2 date just in case you get lucky and it gets assigned sooner. if you're proactive about the NVC papers and have them ready to send as soon as they're needed, the NVC step itself could go pretty quickly! probably about two weeks or so after getting your case numbers. from there, it's really up to your respective consulate or embassy to assign the interview date, so that varies greatly. if you check timelines specific to your country you might be able to get a better idea about how long a wait you're in store for!

lots of luck in your journey!
