i have more questions about the AOS process. I don't know how to create a timeline so i'm going to outline one here.

We filed a concurrent I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765 on December 4th, 2012, sent in all requirements

Received notification of email and text receipt of notification on December 8th, 2012

Received hard copies of NOA and biometric appt in mail with appt for January 4th, 2013

Successfully completed walk-in biometric on December 19th, 2012

Received text/email notification on December 27th, that I-485 was in the interview scheduling phase and we should expect an interview date in the mail.

That was the last we heard from USCIS. There has since not been any activity on our cases. We are moving to a neighboring state in the next week, we got a bigger place because i'm due to have our son in the next 2 weeks. I have been hesitant to change our address because I don't want to delay our process any further. I expected that we will have received an interview date already, but we've heard nothing. I just want to know if this is unusual. Its been almost a month since I got the notification that our case has gone into interview scheduling but we've heard nothing else on all other applications including the EAD and AP. Please let me know if anyone has had similar issues or if I need to be worried. will changing the address from new york to new jersey delay our process? and how long does it usually take to receive an interview date?

I hope my rambling made sense. Thank you all in advance for your responses.

Even if you had gotten an interview notice already, you would not be able to use it because you are moving to another state. You cannot get any decision on your case in NY the instant you move to NJ. Your case is moving extremely fast, and there is nothing to worry about. You are waiting for an opening at a local office. When you move you must notify them so you can avoid delays in your case and they can move your case to NJ. It usually take 3-6 months to receive an interview date.

2/06/13: APPROVED!

If you already know your new address I would notify them ASAP because the change can take some time to propagate through USCIS.

Spouse-based AOS from out-of-status H-1B, May - Aug 2012

If you got your NOA on January 4th, there's no way you could be getting anything about the interview real soon. It usually takes at least another two months from the NOA letters to get the interview date (if not longer in some cases). And just as other mentioned you cannot get interview appointment if you are moving. You have to report your address change so that they can setup an interview at your office close to your residence. Good luck!

If you look at my signature/timeline, you'll see that I got the same message on 12/18/12 and other than approval of EAD, I haven't gotten any information on interview. It has something to do with availability of dates in NY because others who filed around the same time in other states have already received interview dates. Oh well!!!

Oh to add a timeline in your signature, look on the top right hand side of the screen, click on "settings" (under your username), then click on "profile" and on the left you should see "change signature". Then you should be able to add a timeline. Hope this helps!

January 4th seems like the date for the biometrics appointment.
