It has been 13 days that I sent my application to Chicago and still haven't received return receipt or anything else from them.

I tracked postal receipt and it was delivered on October 30. Just called 1-800 number and they told me to wait 30 days and that is usually how long it takes for NOA1. I didn't want to argue with them, but it is not what I am seeing here on the timelines and I know it is still early in the process but I feel very frustrated. They also told me not to call again about this until 30 days are up.

Any advice?

Well one problem might be the postal service, are your names inside your mailbox? We sent in our packet on 9/27 and still haven't gotten NOA1's for EAD or AP, however we got NOA1 for AOS and biometrics appointment. The online status of our case says that the NOA1's were undeliverable by the post office.

The name is not on the box, so it is possible that it was delivered somewhere else by mistake. I can't even check anything online as I don't have the receipt number. I just looked at the bank account and they cashed the checks yesterday , so I guess that is a good sign.

If your bank posts check images then you can look at them and the receipt number should be on the back (starts with MSC). Other than that, no, there isn't much you can do. The 1800 number is pointless and will only tell you to wait, as you've already seen, and will only reissue the NOA1's after 30 days.
