Hello everyone.

As some of you may know...we put our I-751 in the mail for my wife and stepdaughter on October 30. US-CIS received it at the TSC on November 1 (verified by US Postal Service online tracking) and our personal check was cashed on November 2. There was an "SRC" 13 character receipt number handwritten on the back of the personal check. (My online banking shows front and back of cancelled checks online.) Unfortunately it must not be inputted into the US-CIS case status database yet because it came up as an error when I tried to check the status with the receipt number on the check. I'm not worried though...this isn't my first rodeo with US-CIS.

Hopefully we will receive NOA's sooner or later for my wife and stepdaughter that extends their Green Cards while our I-751 winds through the bureaucracy. Presently US-CIS TSC is showing approximately 6 months processing times for I-751. At least we have a receipt number and a cancelled check.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Hi everybody!

I'm Ukrainian girl, married to an American. We filed our I-751 in the end of May 2006. I have to go to Ukraine for a couple weeks in December 2006. I am worried: what if I get the biometrics appointment invitation while I am in Ukraine? Can my husband, who will stay here, in the U.S. reschedule it for me? FELIZ! What do you mean under "to reschedule on "Next Available Saturday" with no deadline, but possible negative effect on case outcome"? Thanks!

if you look in my signature you will see both NOA scan and Biometrics scan. In the Biometric scan there is instruction how to reschedule. It's very easy - just MARK it and send it back. No signature or your presence required. Plus if you are to leave only for 2 weeks - why do you worry about deadline? MAIN THING IS TO MAIL IT MINIMUM 4 DAYS BEFORE APOINTMENT -TO MAKE SURE IT GETS THERE IN MAIL MINIMUM 1 DAY BEFORE APOINTMENT), cuz if you don't come OR don't reschedule, your case might be in trouble. BUT there is no legal limit of HOW MANY TIMES you can reschedule or WHEN is last date you can reschedule till.

BTW our biometric place IS SO CLOSE that we could actually drop off the letter at location, instead of mailing.
