It looks like you leant on the caps-lock key.

Anyway, the timeline for events is here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow The packet will go to the beneficiary and tell them what to do next.

And there's loads about what to do with Packet 3 on the UK section of the forum here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/

Does the UK Embassy allows the Petitioner to attend the interview with the Beneficiary, or do they have to give you permission to do that?

I think you can arrange it if you need help (like, physically or something, say if you had a disability and mobility was a problem) but no, not as a matter of course as far as I know (in fact, I'm pretty sure I read on the long-thread in the UK section that someone's partner wasn't even allowed in to wait and ended up having to go find a coffee shop to hang out in).

You can request that your partner's name be added to your interview letter by requesting it when you submit your forms or DS-2001. I got in by just showing up and having my US passport as ID, but the preferred method is to list who is coming with you. On certain high security days, they have refused extra persons inside but I'm aware of a number of spouses/fiances who have attended. It does not influence the decision to have the partner there in London. I just did it because I could afford to fly over for a one last trip to England and London for awhile.

We had a good time celebrating together. Had a hotel in London. After the interview we did tourist things including the Buckingham Palace tour which used to be only open in July/August. Loved it! And we had a nice dinner before catching a late coach home. He did not plan to POE for two months, so it was a good time to take a summer holiday trip over. Even if I hadn't gotten in, I was there to ride the coach, wait in line with him, and then celebrate afterwards.

If money is tight or he has limited vacation days, you might be better off saving both for when you get to the US. I don't know if you've looked, but AOS is $1070 and is best done ASAP so you can get work authorization and a driver's license, etc. He may need to take off days to drive you to Social Security office, biometrics appointment, a civil surgeon if you don't get your shots sorted before your medical exam, and to just have some fun days with you because you'll be bored while he works every day.

Oh, no. We're spoilt. He's in London working on an ICT visa until this K1 business is done. We're aware of the AOS, but thanks for the heads-up - we're lucky that he gets a lot of vacation and we'll get time when we get back to take care of that stuff as part of his companies relocation system.
