Hello,

Sorry, still going through the forms and being mildly confused.

I'm looking at the DS-157 form. I have questions about

8: Full Name and Address of Contact Person or Organization in the United States

- What do I put here? My fiance currently lives in London, with me. We don't currently have a residence in the US. Can I leave this blank (as this isn't for a work visa - it's K1), or should I put the same address as we put on the I-129f (which is a friends address, who is someone we're likely to stop with when we first get back to the USA and are flat hunting). It's worded in such a way that leads me to believe it's for the purposes of work visas.

12: Not including current employer, list your last two employers

- This makes sense, except there's no where obvious to list your *current* employer. I'm guessing this is because this form is multi-purpose, and is also used for folks on work visas, who'd enter their current employer in question 8 - what should I put? I'll likely be working my notice at my current job by the time my interview comes around, so would I put that one with the end date being the date I will be officially leaving my job? It gives an example of end date that could be "present" so it certainly sounds to me like I should put the job I have now and my previous one.

You've figured out the one-size-fits-all nature of the forms. Your current employment was given on your g-325A in the petition and maybe on other forms. Just list the previous before the one where you are now. The purpose of the DS-157 is a lot to do with security. They are trying to find out if you visit the middle east often, are highly trained in science , or have the skills or experience to (for example) build a bomb, or are a member of the Nazi party, or terrorist groups.

If so, you will be put through extra security databases.

For the contact person maybe something like--

Friend: John Doe, 2222 High St, Town Zip

(My fiancé currently lives in London with me. We will get an apartment in the US after my visa is granted,)
