Hi guys.....

I also would like to thank everybody here in the forum that helped me through this process. I am coming back just to tell a little about my AOS interview experience today.

My interview was scheduled to 10:25am in the office in San Francisco this morning. I got there with my husband around 9:45am and there was a line outside the building but after 10 - 15 minutes they allowed us to pass through security and go to the second floor where we were going to have our interview. I got there gave my interview appointment letter in the reception and they told us to wait on the lobby and someone would come shortly for our interview. The room was pretty busy and 20 minutes later one lady came out of the room and called our name and said they were running a little late so she would take another 25 minutes before she could call us in. Everybody else was called in and we stayed there waiting until noon, I decided to ask the receptioninst that wasn't really friendly and she said they were still interviewing the other family that was scheduled before us.

Anyways it was almost 12:15pm when the lady finally came back and called us in. She wasn't very friendly either but I guess that's how they are trained for...not show any emotion and be suspicious about any of our answers. Anyways she started asking for us to stand up and swear to tell the truth....we said yes she asked us to sit down after that she satrted by asking for our IDs, then she asked why our IDs were not from state of CA and my husband explained he was in the military and was transfered to CA last year. She asked for his military ID and then left to the other room to make copies of our IDs. She came back and asked where I was living and asked for me to confirm the address and how long I was living in this address after that she asked my full name, if I ever had other names, my birthday, where I was from and how many times my husband and I were married before I told her I was never married before and my husband said he was married before with someone else then she asked for his divorce decree we showed her and then she asked why the divorce decree was filled in Washington then he said he was stationed there before, she asked when he moved to CA and how many people was living in our house and where he was working, after that she confirmed that I came to US some other times for exchange program and on tourism visa and then she asked if I ever overstayed I said no. Following that she started a really long list asking all those questions listed on I-485 (Part 3) Have you ever been arrested, killed someone etc etc etc...... I answered no to all her questions. After that she asked why I lived in a different city than where I was going to school I explained that this town was right next to the town I was going for school and was cheaper to live there then she asked how my husband and I met and we told her all the story, she asked for dates and when we had our first date and how it was we told I met his family a little bit over a month after I met my husband and she was surprised that it was too early...I explained I was going to catch a flight from the town where his parents live and a snow storm was coming for this reason I ended going to their house and met then, she asked then where they lived and wrote the city name and their address on her notes.... then she tried to "get me" by asking when I came back to US last and I said was in august last year (I went back home for a couple weeks after I finished my internship to visit my family) after that she asked if we were planning to get married before I came back from Brazil, I told her we were engaged since May but we did not picked a date until I came back from my home country and since my husband and I were living apart until I finished school we decided to go to the courthouse and get married later in august last year, she also asked if we had any ceremonies and if we had a witness. Following that she asked for any evidencies we wanted to show her, I showed some of the documents I already sent with the package again and she got everything and asked if she could keep it we said yes. She got our photo album went to another room and made copies of some of the pages with our pictures. She came back said we would get a notification on the mail about our process and that she still needed to make a few more reviews but everything looked fine with our process. She gave us a paper showing that she advised us about the process and that 90 days before completing 2 years we must file for I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions of Residence and that they won't notify me so I should remember that, she made me write it on a post it. We thanked her and left the room. The interview lasted 35 - 40 minutes we thought she would be quick with us since she took almost 2 hours with the family before us but we still had a pretty long interview considering some cases I've seen here, also everything she was asking us she was writing it down on her notes at the same time, dates, addresses, names etc.

I am guessing everything will be fine, I will let everybody knows the results when we get something back from USCIS. I hope this helps some other members here!!!!

That's great....I will keep checking everyday and see if there's anything online! I am really hoping everything goes fine I just thought it was a pretty long interview she was kind of following the answers I gave on I-485 and asking me to confirm all that information.
