I just accidentally marked my ORIGINAL biometrics appointment notice with Sharpie! :help: i marked my application number and uscis a# out with sharpie pen. i thought it was a just copy of an original notice. and i realized i dont have a copy of it. i was gonna show it at work so that i can get that day off on my scheduled appointment date and i dont want them to see my application number because checking status online is very accessible if they know the receipt\application number. im wondering if its going to be a problem if i marked out my application number and my a# on my appointment notice :(

Did you delete the barcode? Or just the info?

hi. thanks for your reply. :) i just marked out the numbers but not the barcode.

I **should** still be fine because they scan the barcode and it imports all your info. Worst case scenario it IS usually possible for them to print another biometrics notice. Mention what happened (if they ask) and hope they print you another if it's a problem. You'll have your GC to prove who you are.

You should be fine at the ASC. They can use the barcode and they should also have you listed as having an appointment. Make sure you bring your green card and you could also bring your NOA1as well as further verification you are the right individual. If you are really concerned and it isn't too far of a drive, you could stop in at the ASC before your appointment, explain everything to the guard and ask him if they will allow you to do the biometrics on your appointment date or if you need to request another letter. I had to reschedule a biometrics appointment and there wasn't enough time between getting the notice and the date so that is what I did. The guard was very helpful and I hand delivered my request for a new date.

Thanks for the advices. my biometric appointment was done today with no problem. Luckily, i have noticed that i can still see through sharpie mark the application number. And the lady that processed my biometrics actually laughed with my notice and when she heard the reason why i had to mark it out. Anyway thanks God i got it done already. :)
