An I-129F was filed in June 2012 , approved after 6 months (according to USCIS they should process with 5 month time limit)I had to get Congressional Assistant involved -they are a Godsend to our community with government red tape) USCIS explained that they were a bit backlogged . After finally sending approval and forwarding file to NVC/Department of State - then NVC says USCIS requested the file back because it was "incomplete" . After waiting for all these months USCIS send out a letter back to me stating that the case has been "ADMINISTRATIVELY CLOSED BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL VALIDITY DATES HAVE PASSED"!!! Nothing else , that I can file another petition without prejudice . WHAT!! That's it!! What does that mean anyway ???? I am contacting the Congressional Assistant tomorrow to see if she can "translate" this crazy letter .

Any suggestions . The primary reason people file I-129F Fiance petitions are to save time . If you marry your Fiance it may take up to 2 years to get immigrant visa in many countries . If USCIS is taking so long to process these I-129F applications and deciding to close cases out of whim , what are we to do? Another reason is I would tell anybody that it's better to be interviewed by a USCIS official in US than in ANY consulate office .

Please provide input .
