Not sure if im in the right place just looking for some advice... If i decided to go and marry my fiance in his country is it better that i live there for a couple of years then come back and file for a spousal visa and if i did do that how exactly does that work? Do i need to come back find a job and then wait till i establish employment again before i file? Im asking this bc i have friends who is also from there and he thinks it would be better for us.... Im just asking the question MY fiance doesnt care where we live just as long as we are together....

You would need to come back and find a job, you would need to earn enough to support him. If you both don't care where you live, then work out what country makes the most sense financially.

If you want to move there and then come back yes you would have to either find a job over here where you make enough money to sponsor your husband or find a co-sponsor. If you now have a job where you make enough money, why don't you just fly over, get married in his home country and then you fly bak and start the visa process. It will take anywhere between 8-12 months no matter how you do it.

I figured as much.... I know someone who husband is from there and this is the recommendation he gave me about living there for 2 years he said being from Tunisia makes it more diffcult to come here..... which i havent heard any of that yet and i figured no matter where you are from its not gonna be easy....

You might find living in your husband's country a valuable experience, but there is no requirement for you to live in America or in Tunisia. Like Alaska said, if you file from abroad without income that will continue in America, you'll need a co-sponsor.

I think it is a personal decision that has to do with your wishes.

My husband(then fiance) and I weighed all the pros and cons of living in the USA or Tunisia and what type of visa to apply for before we fianlly came to the desicion of living here and marrying here in the USA. As long as you have strong proof of your relationship and show that is a true relationship, any visa you decide to go for should be ok. One big factor for us is that we knew we wanted to be together in the same palce from the day we married, so this is why we chose the K-1 visa. We did go into AP, but that is common for some embassies. Good luck
