CSC Requires Authorization To Change Interview Date

I needed to call CSC Visa Information Service to reschedule my wife's interview. I received the confirmation email, but see that the date is wrong. So I log on to us-visainfo .com, I see...

as csc rarely schedules interviews for beneficiaries seeking a visa at a consulate

I understand the confusion, and I will immediately start writing my timeline.

I am the husband and petitioner, my wife the beneficiary.

My wife was unable to go to her IMmigrant Visa interview January 15, so I sent email to Abu Dhabi Embassy to reschedule. Embassy replied, saying that they changed how to schedule interviews, and to contact usvisa-info . Com to reschedule. Embassy started change effective January 6, 2013.

seems the scheduling is done online, and when you attempt it, yer told is some problem.

Instead, I suggest you email and fax the IV unit, asking for another date. Smells like that portal is braindead.

The biggest problem is all the emails from embassy so far for 1 week have been contact the CSC, but the CSC website says the opposite...Effective January 6, contact the embassy.

So Embassy says contact CSC, and CSC website says contact embassy.

I email embassy for 1 week telling them about the confusion, so far no answer. I called CSC, created account, but now the scheduled interview is wrong date, so I need to call tomorrow and ask to reschedule.

But I very confused about the requires authorization to change.

To help me sleep tonight, any ideas what will happen tomorrow? I mean the "requires authorization" really scares me. What does that mean?

Also, how will embassy know that CSC rescheduled interview?

CSC is first time in a long long long time since I talked with a human in this process.

Does that mean IV Unit can reject CSC-schedule January 28 date. If so, what happens next?

By the way, we need a late February or early March interview, which is why I need to change it.

no - yer thinking backwards.

The IV Unit releases dates, a month forward, for the scheduling to CSC. CSC 'allows' folk in the website to pick a date from the list of available dates that were given to them by the IV Unit.

Since you've missed the appointment date, you need a human or two to facilitate the next appointment, as another date from the scheduling pool has to be taken.

Relax la - go to sleep already - make the call into CSC in the morning,

and if you must?

EMAIL the IV Unit before you sleep, asking for another interview date.
