Docs are sitting in NYC Custom? Seems strange! Docs generally get instant clearance.

Call your courier company to look up for your package.

I've seen many many packets sit in customs, unfortunately.

Usually because they were shipped by USPS or another standard carrier.

Fedex & UPS get through customs right away.

Yes call the courier, usually docs don't sit in customs, generally only packages that contain things that need to be declared sit in customs.

Any and all packages that contain things that have to be declared for a customs fee sit in customs. Generally docs are not subject to a customs fee so they don't sit

Just be patient, I went through the same thing and it was just documents. I think the big hold up was the police certificate because it came in its own envelope. It won't be long and it was send regular mail because all the other postal places are expensive in Ghana. I remember Fedex was about 80 cedis to send the documents. No worries, look at this as a pit stop to a greater destination. :)

I remember it taking two weeks for our documents to clear and the documents where sent to me. I check them over and sent them to NVC and I had it certified mail so I knew they got it. From there, the NVC waiting game began...:)

Sis, calm down, everything takes time. Don't be disappointed, I understand you have a deadline for your husband to arrive but understand that it may not happen on your time. Just be patient, it will help. :)
