Us embassy manila sent a letter that i can now schedule an interview appointment. Im under cr1 visa category. Thought the nvc will be the one who's gonna schedule the interview for me as i read through the threads here. I'm confused.

Did you do a dcf in manila? if you did , you need to schedule you're interview by internet or by phone. this is what i was email from

The applicant should follow all interview preparation instructions for immigrant visa applicants located on the Embassy’s website at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html. The instructions contained at the website will provide the applicant the required documentation and procedures to follow prior to the interview date.

Applicants are advised to have their medical examinations done at St. Luke’s Extension Clinic in Manila at least one week before their visa interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy. Applicants are encouraged to register online at the St. Luke’s website: www.slec.ph prior to their medical exam.

The applicant should compile all the required documents and complete the medical examination before the visa interview (when scheduled). Please note that the medical examination may take more than one day to complete.

No it is not normal unless you filed a DCF while living in the Philippines. You should call the NVC and confirm the status of your case and if you are in the queue to be assigned an interview date.

I dont know about the dcf thing. We've undergone the usual process like the uscis/nvc thing. All i know is that we requested for an expedition as my husband will be deployed.
