Just recieved a text from my fiance that said she was done with her interview and they said they will send her an email to say if her visa was approved or not.

I have read several manila embassy reviews and NONE of them said "wait for email". In fact most said they were told at the end of the interview that they were approved for the visa.

Has anybody else been told to wait for the email??? what does that mean???

Not sure what that means. We were told by the CO immediately after the interview that we were approved. Was your fiancee instructed to go the next window to give delivery address information? After our interview, we went to one last window to confirm the address that we wanted the visa to be delivered to. That was the last step. My only guess is that she is more than likely approved, but there is something the want to look further into? Otherwise, it might be something new they are doing. That's all I can think of if she didn't get a 221g. Did they keep her passport? That's always a good sign.

Hi Larry,

My friend's now wife which is good news was told similar as she did not know an important question that the Interviewer knew. Once she and her now husband talked it out and she was given one more document she was approved. Delayed only 2 weeks I believe.

I noticed you received an RFE. Would the email be in response to needing further clarification or checking on your RFE by the Interviewer? Our interview is in 2 weeks and I do not like seeing anyone have bumps in their road.

Good luck....

Shawn

The RFE was because our lawyer did not submit my fiance's anul. papers to the NSO. We then did that and satisfied the RFE.

The only question my fiance said she had trouble with was when she was asked why I had divorced my first wife. She told them that I said my 1st wife was selfish but I guess they wanted more of an answer. Other than that my fiance said everything went good. She also told me that everybody who was interviewed were told the same thing. Go home and wait for an email.

The Embassy probably told her to go home and wait until 2GO contacts her. Standard operating procedure is for 2GO to send her a text when her visa packet is in their hands and ready for delivery or pickup.

wait for the email? cool ! new silliness coming about of Manila IV.

You could, of course, call the DoS Hotline, instead, and ask for casefile status.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
