Hi,

This is the situation I am in.

Due to our personality differences, I decided to divorce my husband I've been in a relationship for about 7 years before my 2-year conditional residence ends.

I had had immigration issues before I married him and I know that my records remain clean now after our marriage.

However, after our divorce is finalized, I just want to leave the US and start fresh in my own country.

But I also want to be able to legally enter the US sometime to visit my friends.

What steps do I need to take to go through this?

Thank you.

Your options are 1) divorce and return to your country and then apply for a tourist visa and hope you are granted one; or 2) divorce and file for removal of conditions (ROC) once the divorce is finalized or within 90 days of your conditional GC expiring using the waiver and remain in the US as a LPR. Your choice.
