It's funny now, but NOT at the time it happened. We were in Khan el-Khalili and I had a very nice long flowing skirt. We were at a shop smelling all the oils and a big gust of wind came and blew my skirt almost over my head!!!! I know everyone saw my undies My husband just laughed.

Well I think you should implement the use of "after poop spray" in the bathroom, or maybe just carry something in your pocket. Or you could light a match. Everyone likes the smell of burnt poop.

BTW I did buy "Everybody Poops" for my daughters and it worked. My oldest had the hardest time pooping but the worst time flushing 'cause she hated parting with things.

When I visited my fiance we stayed at this place with toilets we had to prime first

to flush.

After getting used to the constant power failure and blackouts, I thought I was

confident enough to go down the long hall without as much as a flash light in the middle

of the night.

I entered the toilet and heard a splashing sound in the toilet bowl.... .....couldn't see

in the dark what it was.....went back to my fiance who was sleeping and mumbled

probably just a lizzard.......went back armed wth a flash light this time and saw

a black furry something.....ran back to fiance and said that is not a lizzard, it is also alive.

Now I had his attention and he bolted out of the room fully awake and said

" it's a rat ! " and before I knew it he attacked it with a plunger and flushed it down.

It was a rat that came through the outside pipe and ran around on the floor

tearing up toilet paper and had jumped back into the bowl when I showed up !

Needless to say I was freaked out to the max.

Actually it is worse where he lives, no flushing toilet. Most people use a hole in the ground.

here is my funny story i have in my own country when Mark and I was together in Cairo..

# in our honeymoon when we went to sharm al-sheik i chose a horrible hotel from online I thought it will be great just by judging it from the photos online you know what was funny all the days after we already have booked and before we go i felt it will be "horrible" ..when we first arrived at the reception after 9 hours being in the bus with a crazy driver who was very close to get us killed by his very reckless way of driving..the man at the reception was rude Mark gave him our passports and our marriage certificate "copy of it" and he looked at the cop in suspecious way as if he think we fabricated it so I was mad and when I went to the bedroom it was horrible I was very tired and I felt dusty so I took off my cloth and i was changing and Mark too and suddenly with no knocking or anything all of sudden 3 men was inside the room i was lucky i screamed i said NOOO wait " in English ..That was really funny ..then I took the origin of my marriage paper and went to the reception guy "I was pissed" I told him I wanna talk to your manager and he called for him and I told him " your man look in a funny way to my copy of my marriage paper as if it's fabricated so to make him feel better i brought this for YOU"..

next day at 9 PM Mark and I was swiming in the swimming pool and one egyptian guy saw us and after 2 minutes teher was like 5 guys "Egyptians" came infront of the pool looking and staring at the Egyptian girl with the American man in the swimming pool !!!!!!

# Next day mark and I was playing pool in the hotl and the guy "young guy" come and ask me is it allowed for Egyptian Girl to marry American??!!!" in fact his question pissed me that i didn't care to reply !

I have two stories.

First one was when I was living in Greece with my fiance and his family for one month, it was Laundry time. So I asked my fiance if I can do the laundry. In a few seconds his mom shows up and I said "NO", I can do it. I didn't want his mom doing my laundry. So after a few minutes of tug and pull on my laundry bag I gave in. A few hours later I am in the bathroom and I look out the window to their back yard and there I see all my THONGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Multi color hanging on the clothes line for everyone to see. Their backyard is surrounded by at least 8 neighboring apartments! I was frozen!!!!!

The second story is a toilet story. I didn't know that in Greece their plumbing is bad and when you wipe they put it in a trash can. Who Knew!?!?!??!! So for a month I am flush, flush, flushing away. Toilet paper, tampons, feminine wipes, you name it.

Then one day I hear all this commotion going on in the apartment, banging on a door, yelling, etc. I asked what fiance what was going on. And he said that their stupid tenant was in big trouble for blocking up their pipes and his father and brother in law were letting him have it.

Then I see his father pulling the drain out back. I still didn't clue in that I was the cause of this problem till I saw him snake out a tampon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT WAS ME, I told my fiance and his eyes were the size of saucers when he realized I didn't know about the wipe and trash can method.

I felt horrible that the tenant was almost killed for my error.
