Little update. We found someone that is going to get Snow out of there and take care of him until my husband can go pick him up (YAY!).

To all of you in the Tampa area, keep checking out that Facebook page. There are a lot of cats that are destined to die if nobody helps. There are TONS of litlte kittens and mamas and older cats.

Please help other cats to live!

Hello everyone again!

I know I am being a bit annoying but I am trying to spread the word as much as I can. If you live anywhere near Tampa or are able to do a little trip down there, PLEASE consider fostering or adopting one of the cats from this page https://www.facebook.com/UrgentCatsOfTampaBay?fref=ts

The kittens season just started and a lot of mamas and babies have few hours to be saved. There are a lot of cats every single day checking in and most of them will never check out. When the shelter accept a cat or a dog, they have 5 days to be adopted. If nobody steps up to adopt or foster, they will be euthanized. As I said there are a lot of mamas with the babies as well as owners surrenders (what a horrible owner), strays and lost pets that will never be able to find a home or see their owners again.
A lot of them enter the shelter healthy but in a bunch of days can contract diseases that according to the shelter policy gives one more reason to "get rid of them". They only have 5 days (FIVE!) to find their forever home and not die. Can you imagine your cat being there? Wouldn't you do anything to save them and give them a bit of love and get them out of that scary place?

Unfortunately the shelter has made the policies for adoptions stricter in the last few weeks, in fact it's not possible to adopt-to-rehome anymore and each person can only adopt 2 cats per year so if you plan on saving a little family, consider bring a friend, sister, brother, mother or someone who can sign the papers.

The people administrating the page are very very sweet and very very helpful and will help you to adopt your next kitty.

Maybe I annoyed you but if you share this message and even just 1 cat gets saved we might not only save a life but also make some people very very happy.

My fiance and his dad adopted kittens a couple of weeks ago. They were left at the side of the road and so the pet adoption center took them in.

Nala is my fiancé's and our little girl. Her brother Makulit is on the right of the picture licking his little paw, and is owned by my fiancé's dad.

I so can't wait to play with them!

We have a family cat here at home but I won't be able to bring her with me when I move and marry Wes.

I’ve had a sore throat for a few days due to allergy season so I decided to gargle with Listerine.

Ginger crawled on my chest after and was trying to stick her nose in my mouth.

Wow! A new cat thread! A year before my husband and I met, he adopted a man-cat from Siamese Rescue in Austin. I found a lady-cat with black boots on petfinder.com in November 2010 and arranged with her foster mom for a meeting to see if it would be a good fit. The FM brought her to our house and the lady-cat immediately greeted me, my husband, and the man-cat by headbutting each of us. She chose to be a part of our family in an instant. Her foster mom from the rescue organization said that she was visiting a high-kill shelter one day and spotted the lady-cat. The lady was on the euthanasia list but the FM just fell in love with her and took her home. I'm really grateful for people like her.

At first I was just gonna get the male, but this lady at the adoption day kept asking my mom and I to adopt them both cause they were very close. So my mom finally broke down and agreed! I'am so happy I got them together, having two cats is so much fun!

I have a question that maybe someone on this thread could shed some light on. My fiance and I love cats. I grew up with multiple cats, he has (well, now his mom has) a Bengal Cat back in London. We really want to adopt a cat this fall (perhaps a Bengal rescue), but we have a problem. My fiance recently developed a pretty strong cat allergy. Completely out of the blue. Typical allergy pills have not helped him at all. I have heard about shots and stuff, but was wondering if anyone could offer advice on what to do. Adopting a cat is very important to both of us!

The male is Spyair(he's the baby) and the girl is Diva. My mom named Diva cause she was the main decision maker in allowing our family to have two cats.
