Let us know how they're all doing!

If the husband says no to another permanent cat, do consider fostering- shelters and rescues always need foster homes, especially for cases like pregnant cats that don;t do well in a shelter environment. All the cuteness of kittens without the 20+ years responsibility and cost!

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to use the Net and he won't bother you for weeks.

You know we LOVE animals! If we could, we'd live in a zoo! What we really want to do is get another cat and a doggy but our apartment's rule forbid us from having more than 2 pets so we always have to fight the urge of making our family bigger. Fostering sounds like a good compromise, in fact we contacted a shelter in our area and said we were available for fostering. Unfortunately when I left the States to come to Italy, they contacted us asking if we could foster and feed with a bottle 5 little kittens. My husband had to say no because he was working 12 hours shift and they would have been starving for half of the day and also we didn't trust our 2 one year old cats to be with new born kittens for so long without any human supervision. Even though they're very sweet, we never had them meet other cats so we don't know what they would do.

You know fostering a pregnant mom sounds like a great idea! As soon as I get in the States I'll have to drag my husband to the local shelter and volunteer there!

Good luck with the new babies and the new momma!

I was cleaning the fridge yesterday and I turned around to find Ginger laying in the veggie drawer. (I have a picture of it but I don’t yet have a picture sharing site to link to.)

She LOVES celery. If I put a celery leaf on the floor she will lay on it like she’s guarding it and then roll on it.

She will brush against the grocery bags when I come home and have celery in them.

Oh dear...look at all the little mini tuxedo cats! I may have just squee'd all over myself.

My fiance took in 4 feral cats recently. Well, the first 3 came all together and were very feral and lived on their own for a good 8 months or so, so they were terrified of humans. They're all still a little skittish but have come so far, especially his favourite: Lady Hemingway. The other kitten was found in the Hostess warehouse where his Aunt worked, so he was named Twinkie. He was just a little guy and is not skittish at all and quite the little brat, but very lovable.

Anyway, here's Hemingway. She's missing a toe on each front paw and her claws poke out. Thus why she was named Hemingway (Hemingway's many cats with extra toes etc.)

Aww I had 2 tuxedo cats! I also had a cat who loved the smell of celery. I gave her the empty bag once and she rolled, sniffed, rubbed, jumped and pushed it around to her heart's delight.

Hubby and I are more dog people, but adopted three cats while living in Kuwait. Kuwait is overrun with mostly feral strays living a pretty miserable existence, and I couldn't bear to turn away a non-feral kitten or cat when they found me/us.

For some reason, I only have pictures of our cats as kittens...might need to fix that!

These two are Tikka (left) and Fattie. I found Tikka living in a shopping center. She was being feed curry and rice by a group of Indians who worked there. We named her Latika (Tikka for short) after the character in Slumdog Millionaire. We watched Fattie being born, as a friend had adopted a pregnant cat from off the street. He was the biggest of the litter, thus the name...

Tikka and Fattie

And this is Paris, whom we found at the Hilton. She has definitely lived up to that name, as she is a cranky diva most of the time. We may have set ourselves up for that one....her first meal from us was lobster, the leftovers from dinner at the Hilton.

Pathetic Paris

Moving them from Kuwait to the USA via a two long flights and 24 hours was something we vowed NEVER to do again. The first 8 hours were a chorus of 'meow, meow' back and forth. I'm sure everyone loved us.
