That is like every guy I've ever dated.

I almost drowned in the milk I was drinking. So beautiful. It is almost as romantic as this song:

Parting the Red Sea - not just for Moses. ;)

I found it posted to the Crappy Music section of Reddit (which is great, if you like to cringe as hard as I do). I can't imagine who when faced with this situation thinks they should sit down and write a song about it. He got a bit of publicity though when he was apparently featured on the Howard Stern show for that fine piece of rap genius.

Did someone mention crappy music?

That will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

And even though it's terrible, you will have the urge to listen to it constantly.

Very nice. I will have to get a hold of his stylist for that hair.

Sometimes I catch myself singing that mindlessly. I need help.

Then there is this. Obviously, no one but me bothered to make a translation of this and I couldn't understand everything he was saying:

One morning I left the house

I wanted to go to the store

Buy some new boots

But suddenly these weird people appeared front of me

I asked them 'What is this #######?!'

They said they were the Knoedel militia

They didn't want to get out of the way

I said "####### is this?"

I just wanted to get by

Then suddenly they attacked me

They said they were the Knoedel militia

(...not sure what he is saying, something about their weapon)

I raised my sword into the air

They wanted to make me into one of them

Into a knoedel

I said "F#ck off!"

(dunno)

Then their eyes got huge

And they ran off scared

Then I left, finally able to buy my boots

Cool song!

Ahhh... This will be the first video my husband will hear when he finds internet again. Wow. The ####### people put on these days!

I don't get the shopping mentality of "Oh I'll just get myself another Filipina" or "try a Ukrainian next time." Does anyone else find themselves as offended by this as I am? As a mother to a child who is part Filipina and a woman in general (albeit a not very feminist one), I'm kind of unsettled.

Does anyone else feel that way?

I feel very offended by this, too.

Although I don't have anyone in my circle who will willingly be a "commodity", I have heard stories of women, teenagers even, who deliberately seek foreign men... And it saddens me that a culture like that exists.

It goes both ways. The problem lies in the lack of a concerted, truly effective effort by either the Philippine government or the global laws to stop this from happening.

“The fact that we are here and that I speak these words is an attempt to break that silence and bridge some
of those differences between us, for it is not difference which immobilizes us, but silence.
And there are so many silences to be broken.”

Two consenting adults that choose to be together.. What effort would you suggest be put into place to stop them?
