I would have to say that due to the snobby French speakers in Canada, don't ever fly air Canada. Because only half of their pilots speak English. And the French speaking pilots cannot communicate with the English speaking copilot, and the American air traffic controllers....And even if the French pilots do speak English, they're too snobby to communicate with anyone...that about covers it.

I am ask because I want to fly my fiancee on Air Canada because she can POE in my home town Richmond Va

But I dont want to put her on a flight from hell

That's good planning, I used to fly them often, all short flights, no issues. They do cost more.

Air Canada is just fine like any other major airline.

But in this case Richmond will not be her POE. She will have to get her luggage and POE in Toronto, and I personally don't like this airport...

Not sure where you're from but Toronto is in Canada

Same as Tokyo is in Japan

POE is Point of Entry for United States not Canada since she has an American Visa

Not sure they have American USICS in Toronto

I will gladly pay more to get her to Richmond for POE

I'm thinking late Feb she will fly into Toronto and then to Richmond Va

But I won't decide untill I see how the weather looks

If bad winter there I will just have to route her through Dallas for POE

Bxman,

Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Singapore Airlines or Cathay Pacific.

I was aware that Toronto is in Canada, but thank you for letting me know that Tokyo is in Japan. I would never have figured that one... Also, I do know what POE means.

And if you're not sure about Toronto, please let others help you to understand instead of making fun of them, ok?

Flights originating in Toronto and ending anywhere in the U.S. have POE in Toronto.

There is CBP (not USCIS) presence there and you "croos the border" before getting on the plane to your US destination.

No customs/immigration control when you land at the destination.

Hey leatherneck!

You know I was really looking for Korean Air but it seems that I cannot find them listed on Cheapo Air

for a one way ticket

So I say Philippine air to Tokyo then Canadian Air to Toronto to Richmond but know I'm learning

Canada will be her POE not Richmomd! Wow life is complicated! lol

I was really impressed with Korean Air

Sorry didn't mean to be ugly

Just trying to get her close enough so I can be there for POE

I mentioned Tokyo because she will fly through there also

I really had no idea Canada would be POE ( I NEVER would have guessed!)

I really am indebted to you for opening my eyes to this

And I ask here because people like yourself have knowledge where i have none!

Please accept my appology if I offended you I am sorry

So scrap Toronto!

Thank you VERY much for your info
