Your Medical Experiences

I always wondered what other people's medical experience was, I had done a bit of research online in what was involved and there was many different stories.

I had mine done here in The US as i was already here. When I arrived at mine they took my passport and gave me some forms to fill out about basic medical history. After 10 minutes or so a nurse called me back to a room and got me setup. As I had not planned to get married I didn't have my medical history so I had to get my shots done again. They gave me a flu shot and a TDAP ( diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (whooping cough) ), then they took 2 vials of blood and finished with a TB Skin test by putting a small injection under the skin of my forearm which leaves a small bump. They told me I was all done and to return in 48 hours for them to read my TB test and for my results. I asked if I needed to bring the I-693 form and they said that they do it all for me.

The office called me the next day to say my blood work came back and everything was as it should be, they asked how my TB spot was doing and I said it was almost gone. They said that was great and they will see me in the morning.

I returned the next day and was taken straight back where they measured the TB Test which was 2mm which I had to be under 5mm to pass, if I was over I would have had to go and have a chest X-ray. So everything was great and they took me into an office and went through the I-693 with me, I signed everything they made me a copy and sealed the original. I paid my money and left a happy guy.

One thing I was surprised by was that there's was no physical exam, I had read online that some people had them as part of the medical. Guess it depends on the office you go to.

I was very happy with mine and would recommend the great staff highly at The PIRC Clinic in Atlanta, GA

I would love to hear your experiences
