Petioner died after the interview

My uncle filed the petetion for his married kids after the interview he expired .one beneficiary and his family got visa after his death and from other after 5 months consulate office asked for the recent photograph of petetioner now where this beneficiary stands

How many children are there in all? One of the children got the visa already, while the others are still waiting? Under administrative processing perhaps?

They should inform the consulate as soon as possible that the petitioner has passed away. Concealing that fact may jeopardize their visas.

The embassy is asking that because they heard about the petitioner's deaths, at least rumours. The visa is void when the petitioner dies, as the visa is for family re-unification and tragically, there is no family to unify anymore.
