Typically you do not get any sort of response when sending in a change of address form.

Really? I thought you were supposed to receive a notice and then re mail it to confirm your new address.... or a notice saying that they updated your information...

Did you send in the form AR-11 for change of address (aka just to tell them you're living somewhere else) or did you do a change of MAILING address? They are different things. If it was the former, then no, you do not get a receipt. I don't know what the procedure is for changing your mailing address.

lore,

Sending the AR-11 form is not going to get your address updated on any applications that you have pending. If you want to be sure that you receive your Green Card you should call the NCSC and tell them to have your I-485 file updated and also write to the CSC to tell them the same thing.

You can't trust either of them to get it done, but by contacting both you improve the chances that it might get done.

If a reasonable period of time passes and you don't receive the Green Card you might want to make an InfoPass appointment and try to get someone in your District or Sub office to help. One week is not reasonable.
